七夕节

相传牛郎和织女,一人一仙相恋触犯了天条,被惩罚只能在每年的七夕(中国农历七月七号)见面,每到这一天,无数的喜鹊便飞聚此地为他们搭桥。最开始七夕始于汉朝,相传妇女在庭院向织女星乞求智巧,故称为“乞巧”。其起源于对自然的崇拜及妇女穿针乞巧,逐渐被赋予了梦幻的爱情故事,演变成至今的情人节。该传统节日对日本、朝鲜半岛、越南等汉字文化圈国家有深刻的影响。

 

Qixi Festival (The Chinese Valentine’s Day)

Legend has that a cowherd who is a mortal person and a fairy called Zhi nu with excellent skill of weaving fell in love which was against rules and got the punishment of being parted from each other. Only at 7th of July of each year (Chinese lunar calendar), they were allowed to meet. Every year, countless magpies gathered and bridged them. Originally, the romantic day dated from Han dynasty and was generated from people’s worship of nature and desires for weaving skills. It gradually has been endowed with the fantasy love story and has evolved into the present Chinese Valentine’s Day. This traditional festival has a profound impact on the countries such as Japan, Korean peninsula and Vietnam etc..
